How do I Join DDi?
1. Join MinaX - Only members of the Minax faction may join DDi
2. Have an existing, non-probation DDi member sponsor you as a friend
3. Have a (different) non-probation DDi member sponsor you as a pvper (see skills below)
4. Declare the names of your other main characters, and any other guild/factions in which you participate.
5. Then you join us as a probationary member / initiate etc., this gives you a chance to check us out, meet ur guildmates and play on-team, and gives us a chance to make sure you fit in with the existing team.
6. Then.. if you make it.. you become a [Soldier of, DDi]
What skills do I need for DDi?
1. An awareness of how PvP works so that you can look after yourself - knowing when to fight and when to recall.
2. Be a team player, we are more interested in peoples ability to play as part of a team than we are in the number of GMs their character has or how fast their con is - Factions is about team-play, not 1-1.
3. You need the resources to afford to PvP - it is an expensive hobby, so don't join DDi as you only character, and don't go buying regs as your DDi char etc. You will die, and the only problem with re-equipping should be the time it takes, not the cost of supplies. Also a Felucca house is prefered, if you dont have one, a secure or two can probably be provided by the guild.
4. Skills .. Good enough to look after yourself, 70+ resist is desirable, warriors GM weapon skills, mages 90+ magery, Medi, Eval... are guidelines for skill sets, and we advise a stat template of 90-90-45 to reduce mindblast damage.
5. Loyalty and Dedication. You will die in PvP, you will be resskilled and clean looted, you will be trashtalked, RuLeD and OwNeD by DeWdZ, they will steal your non blessed clothes and kill your horses, told how 'j00 SuX' and 'They RoX', all this more than usual since the other Factions hate DDi and what we stand for.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if i dont know any existing DDi, and just wanna join? Since our first requirement is membership of the minax faction, fighting alongside our existing memebrs will give you chance to get to know us, if you dont wanna make the effort to get to know your future guildmates, then they wont want you in DDi.
How do i get sponsered as a pvper? All this means is you are willing to learn/fight according with our methods/skills outlined in the above section
How long would i be on probation? 1 month from the date you join - Guild title will indicate joining date ie [15/1][Guildtitle, DDi]... we know dates in titles sux and look newby - if you are right for DDi then you are the type of player who will put up with that for a month, if not you can always get a l33t title from another guild.
How can i get kicked during probation? The whole idea of the probation thing is to 'fit in' with the team, this means not moaning too much if you die, not getting into 'personality clashes' or feuds with other members.
How do i succeed during probation? You show ur guildmates you are part of the team, you heal each other, kick ass together, loot their things if they die or get notoed and return um when they res, if you do well, then a month after you join your guildmates will say good things about you and you will become a full member of the family
